To start my process I did extensive research of a variety of sports apps such as, ESPN, the NBA, WNBA, NFL, Bleacher Report, NHL and Sports Network. I found that no sports app specialized in women's hockey or even feature women's hockey. I also stayed up to date on social media sites, news sites, and podcasts once the PWHL season started to hear what fans, players, coaches,
and other hockey professionals had to say about the league to see if it would be a successful inaugural season. Based on social media sites and news outlets, I determined the hardest audience I would have to please would be adult men. This is where my user personas came in and I created two identities of one adult male who has been in the NHL and has strong opinions on hockey and one adult male who has a daughter who has played hockey all her life and helped grow the game of girls hockey in New York (inspired by my dad).

The app is called "Center Ice" because the center of the ice is where two teams come together to compete. In this case "Center Ice" the mobile app is where two professional hockey leagues come together as one to make for easy access to all professional hockey in North America. This branding is supposed to mimic a light mode and dark mode so the user knows which side of the app they are on so there is no confusion when buying tickets or looking at stats.

These are social media posts that are specially tailored to certain tickets or games, and you can find these social media posts on the app either in your ticket memory book or on your favorite team's social media posts!

These motion graphics are meant to be seen on social media and television/jumbotron ads to help promote the app in an exciting and engaging way!
The promotional posters/banners are meant to be hung up outside arenas to promote the app.
